About This Book

Nelly's Belly is the fourth in a series of educational children's books about the human body. It presents facts about the abdomen in an entertaining, colorful manner, using 16 verses written in limerick form.

The verses are written by a neurosurgeon and illustrated by a seasoned professional. A glossary at the end of the book provides both the meanings of medical terms and their pronunciations, giving young readers the vocabulary to talk about what they're learning.

The Anatomy for Kids series by Cargill H. Alleyne makes the human body approachable for young readers through humor, rhyme, and accessible language. Written by a practicing neurosurgeon, the books combine medical accuracy with the kind of irreverent wit that keeps children reading. For ages 6–10. Distributed through Simon & Schuster and available in print and digital formats.
