AuthorR.J. Koreto has never been able to resist a good mystery—whether buried in an old house, hidden in a historical footnote, or tucked inside a complicated character. Born in New York City and educated at Vassar College, he decided he wanted to write fiction after reading The Naked and the Dead. His career has taken him from journalism to editing to a stint as a merchant seaman. His short fiction has appeared in Ellery Queen, Alfred Hitchcock, and multiple anthologies. He and his wife have two grown daughters and split their time between Rockland County and Martha's Vineyard.
