Award-winning author Christine Sunderland grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from San Francisco State University cum laude with a BA in English Literature. She serves today as Managing Editor of American Church Union Publishing.

She has written three award-winning novels set in Western Europe: Pilgrimage, Offerings, and Inheritance (all OakTara). The stories explore Christian faith and practice, healing of body and soul, and the sanctity of life. Offerings won the Bronze Medal, Independent Publishers Award.

She has authored Hana-lani, set in Hawaii, and The Magdalene Mystery, set in Rome and Provence. Her sixth novel, The Fire Trail (eLectio), set at UC Berkeley, is a suspense about the collapse of Western culture.

Her seventh novel, Angel Mountain (Wipf and Stock, 2020) considers faith and science, human dignity and freedom, and Heaven and Earth.

Christine holds a B.A. in English Literature, cum laude, and is an alumnus of the Squaw Valley Writers Workshop and the Maui Writers Retreat. Her extended family includes ten grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew. She lives with her husband and an incredible cat named Laddie.
