
Anna Canic
AuthorAnna Canic was born on April 14, 1987 in Odesa, Ukraine in a Russian-Polish family. Translator and publicist by profession. As a creator, she used to write articles, stage plays, reviews, poems and a few song lyrics. As a vice editor-in-chief, Anna ran two Polish art&culture magazines ("Moja Przestrzen Kultury" and "Dziennik Teatralny"). JSTOR mentioned her as a "multifaceted literary figure".
All author's works were published on the pages of magazines, anthologies, and almanacs in Poland ("Akant", "Eneidrion", "Katamaran Literacki"), Serbia ("Odiseja", "A Too Powerful Word"), USA ("Spillwords"), Spain ("Love in Summer", "Winter: November to December"), and Greece ("200 Years of Independence", "Eirini"). Two dramas staged at Polish theatres. Canic is the author of the historical novel "Sophia and Cassius"* (originally published in Croatia). Fluent in 6 languages. Currently living in Split, Croatia with her family.
