Randolph “Randy” W. Farmer was born in Texas in 1953 to a family whose descendants came to his home state as early as 1817 when it was still a part of Spain.
Mr. Farmer is the author of three published books of nonfiction about Texas history: From Blackland Prairie to Blacktop: A History of Collin County (2011); “Curly Bill,” Horse Thief, Cattle Dealer, Murderer, Lawman: 1858–1909 (2013); and The Knights of the Golden Circle in Texas—How a Secret Society Shaped a State (2021).
