Former classroom teacher, D K Powell is a British writer and education consultant who works for clients all over the world. After living several years in Bangladesh and completing a post-graduate degree course in Asian studies he now works freelance in the UK but tours the world (and Asia in particular) regularly.
D K Powell has given a TEDx talk on ‘The Global Village’ in which he shares his love of Bangladesh and writes on a number of subjects as journalist, reviewer and educationalist. He has written a number of education courses on psychology, criminology and so on and is a senior science writer for a number of publications.
The author is available for hire as a speaker, education consultant or reviewer. He is currently working on a number of books, including several novels and lives in the north of England with his wife, two children and a dog. He admits only to the crime of drinking far too much tea and being lousy at darts and will do almost anything for sweets.
